These terms govern the painting services provided by VR Painting (ABN 79 683 602 440) to you, the customer. By accepting a quote or engaging us to perform work, you agree to these terms.
1. Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on the scope of works described. Variations or additional work requested during the project may be charged in addition to the quoted price.
2. Bookings & deposits
A deposit may be required to secure a booking. Dates are confirmed once the deposit is received and may be rescheduled in the event of weather, supply delays or events outside our reasonable control.
3. Payment
Final payment is due on completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and other methods agreed in advance.
4. Workmanship warranty
We provide a 7-year workmanship warranty on residential interior and exterior painting, subject to normal wear and tear and proper maintenance. The warranty does not cover damage caused by structural movement, water ingress, surface defects existing prior to our work, or third-party damage.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Provide safe access to the work areas
- Move or protect valuable or fragile items unless otherwise agreed
- Notify us of any hazards (e.g. lead paint, asbestos) before work commences
6. Insurance
VR Painting is fully insured, including public liability insurance, for the work we perform.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the services or refunding the price paid for the affected services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Cancellations
Cancellations made within 48 hours of a scheduled start may incur a fee to cover materials ordered and reserved labour.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
